Lobsang Tsewang is an artist and curator based in New York City. His art combines spiritual themes with modern ideas, using earthy colors and blending mythical and human elements to make his work relatable to today’s audiences. In 2017, he started a project called "Humanize the Idealized" to help people better understand Buddhist traditions by connecting religious figures to everyday life. He also focuses on environmental issues in his art by repurposing ceremonial scarves (Khata) as canvases to raise awareness about pollution and waste.

Tsewang has curated and participated in numerous group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, presenting his work across various venues, such as Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Joan Mitchell Foundation, Ulsan International Woodcut Festival in South Korea, CUE Art Foundation, George Washington University, Texas Christian University and John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

He currently works as the Exhibitions Manager at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
